i have a base '86. it has 170k miles on the orgional motor and theres not stereo. im wondering how much i could ask for it and how much i SHOULD ask. i need to sell it soon so i can get a new Chevy Colorado when they come out. thanx.

engine is still going strong, every now and then it kinda pauses when im acceleratin. and it has an exhaust leak.

agreed, although I wouldn't pay more than around $200-$300... but some people will pay a bit more

you can prolly find someone that doesn't know about the car to buy it for more than its worth, but I got my 91 with 98k, perfect engine, 3 hails dents, scratched spoiler, a little rust on the mufflers, and no drivers door key lock, for $2250 and I would have paid 3grand atleast, so I definately wouldn't pay 1000, maybe 500 if I was having trouble finding one, or I had the money to swap in a new motor

I bet its hesitating about 3800rpm. I would say dont part it out simply because there are fewer RX7's on the road everyday. ask $1000 obo and hope someone gives you $600-750.
