84 Corolla Specs

My son just got an 84 Corolla with no owners manual. Would anyone know the oil capacity in quarts, oil weight, etc. for this vehicle, along with any other info that they think is relevant? Thanks.

Should be about 4 qts of 10W40.

If the car has high mileage due to its age, may I suggest 20W50.
It's a lot smoother for older models.

Regarding an inexpensive manual for maintenance and some repair, you might want to consider a Haynes manual. You didn't specify whether or not the Corolla your son has is either FWD or RWD, so it should either of the two manuals listed below:

Haynes Manual 92032 - 80-87 Corolla RWD
Haynes Manual 92035 - 84-92 Corolla FWD
