Help me understand camber better

My car is lowered about 1.5 inches (according to Eibach).
I just got an alignment so here are my camber readings:
FL: 1.1
FR: 1.3
BL: 1.8
BR: 2.4
The inside edge of my tires definitely wear quicker but my mechanic said that he needed to correct the toe a bit so maybe that was what was causing most of the wear.
Is the difference between the BL and BR make you think something is bent or is this kind of difference normal? What would you do about it?

One question...are you using your car for track use? if so...here is an approx. camber setting FR -1.0 FL -1.0 the BR -1.0 to -1.2 same for both. if you are using your car for everyday, FR and FL -.5 BR and BL -.5 to -.7
my explanation for this is when you make a hard right or left turn, your car will have slight body roll no matter what suspension you have. causing the neg. camber to become closer to zero. this mean your cornering would be improved because you are using nearly 100% of the tire thread.
i hope i answered your question!

Not for the track. Daily driver with occasional harder, fun twisty driving.
I know that there is often no one correct camber setting (or any setting for that matter). I also know why a little negative camber is good.
What I do need to know is if having such a difference from left to right side is normal and what are the advantages of having wheels closer to 0 camber.

alright babe from what i understand it sounds like you need to get a four wheel alignment.
and it is always good to have a little neg. then positive. and i told you pretty much why it was best to have the camber closer to zero because when you take a turn and it's zero then it becomes neg. will be using the inside which will improve your cornering.

1. Babe? Riiiight.
2. Your post makes little sense to me. Please try to clarify.
3. I just got an alignment. That's why I have my camber stats and why I'm posting this. Alignments don't affect camber.

Toe is a bigger wear of tires than camber. Heck I've had my car dropped 2" with:
FR: -2.7
FL: -2.7
RR: -2.0
RL: -2.0
My tires have over 15,000 miles and still look purty. But I rotate my tires every 3000 miles.

chixSI aka Jennie - i think thats a chic - she made a good point about camber change in a turn . . . .the post is called "help me understand camber better"
Like I said before, check for bent/broken suspension parts on RR. Thats odd with that much difference, possibly the alignment rack was messed, check it again on the rack - if its not charge.

Ah, OK..."this illiterate guy" is a girl. Got it. I did think she made a good point, but her last post I couldn't really understand.
You said you rotate your tires every 3 miles. What pattern?
Regardless, I will get the car on the alignment machine again to check the readings and be ready on hand with some washers to bring the Fronts back a little under 1 and the rears to more like 1.5.

Jennie, Goddess of Camber Knowledge -
Quit taking it so hard. When I said illiterate, I meant a knowledgable-girl-who-was-rushed-into-posting-something-that-made-no-sense.
You know I'm just busting your proverbial balls. Thank you for the camber explanation. Much love.
:slap:
In other news: I have a front strut bar and from what I've read it's not doing much and that a rear swaybar would help my handling much more. More "neutral" handling as they say. What do you guys (and girls) recommend in terms of brand and mm thickness?

ALRIGHT THIS IS WHAT I REALLY MEANT TO SAY:
alright from what i understand it sounds like you need to get a four wheel alignment.
and it is always good to have a little neg. then pos. because when you take a turn and it's zero then it becomes pos. camber which is bad. when it is set to neg. camber and you make a hard turn it becomes closer to zero which means more tire on the road which means better control and traction.
okay i hope you understood this and maybe it didn't help you out on what you were trying to ask for, but i gave it a shot!

Haha. That does make sense. Thanks babe.
I'm guessing this same concept applies to toe? Slightly toed in would be better than having it set to zero?
