Bumper differences ... ?

Got my bumper almost ripped off by a hit-n-run. Have to get it replaced, but don't want to get f@cked-up by the body shop doing the work.
I searched and found out that the bumpers from 88-89 and 90-91 are different. What is different about them? Can you tell visually? I have a 91 SE hatch.

Is there anything else I should watch out for?

SE hatch or si?? I believe the size is a little different but can be modified, and i the mounting holes are in different places.

I believe the bumper lights are different sizes from the 88-89 to the 90-91.

The bumper lenses and the grill in the center are also different.

Yes thats it i remembered like a min after i posted. All you have to do is get the bumper lights from the same gen as your bumper. but besides that their is no visual difference.

Yup, I do have a 91 SE. I think it was a CDN thing, a dx dressed-up like an si, with colour matched door handles, mirrors, bumpers, etc

besides for the bumper being a different style with a totally different grill, yeah theres no visual differences between 88-89 & 90-91

Not to mention the 90/91 is longer on the sides.

ALSO, 88-89's the topside of the bumper is unpainted

The profile of the bump strip is also different. On the 88-89s the strips are flatter and there is a small recess in the center of the strip (this also carries over to the bumpers). You can see it if you click on the 89 pic above and look at the driver's door.
