I have a 2000 Honda civic EX. I was wondering if anyone knew if a Mitsubishi 4G63 (turbo) engine would fit in a civic.
Also, know anything about the Honda "C- Series V6"?

If you have enough money to do any of what you said then you're better off going with a B-series motor and the turbo from the motor you are talking about.
I'm sure both of those are possibilities but you better have a large bank account or high limits on your credit cards.

if you would also like to know when youll have to replace the transmission/internals/whole engine...probably at about 70,000mi. so this is how guys turn dsm?!?!?!?

i was checking out my bros turbo eclipse and wondering the same thing a few weeks ago. i actually think it could be done. if dudes can throw v8's in older Rx-7s, i bet you could. it would cost some cash, though. you should get an crx and try it. that would be a fast car.

you'd have to throw that "c-series v6" in the trunk. haha. it's rearwheel drive and you're front wheel.

I own a small shop in atlanta where i do a lot of custom motor work.... strictly for imports....... first off the guy how made the assosiation with old V8 being put into rx7's..... thats a peice of cake....first off the v8s are carberated so that means no computer so it give a new meaning to the ease of plug and play secound rear wheel drive cars assentialy have only one way they can work....... some, type of out-put shaft that spins that conects to a differential..... you really can't make a rod that spins that much diffrent then any other rod save for lenth and gearth........ so with a machine shop there is a relitivily cheap way to go big and go rear." sounds kinda a gay huh" HOWEVER...... on a front wheel drive car you need to take in specific things into consideration:
1. drive shafts position in relation to the motors position in the engine bay.
2. the turning radius of the chassi in assosiation with the CV joints and angle of the shafts..
3. CUSTOM WHEEL HUBS....OR AXLE SPLINES.....
4. Weight ratio of the engine oppossed to the supension of the car "and being a honda where is the camber gonna go".....
5. custom fabricated motor mounting points.... and lots of prayers that they hold.....
But you see thats the easy part for most people.... you now have to re wire the car from stim to stern and on top of that either put a fuel cell in the car or try and custom fit the mitsu fuel system on top of the honda one..........
well i hope this stems the questions like" why can't i put a 2jz in my CRX." for now but as a shop owner i know that ignorance is bliss untill we tell them how much its gonna cost.

As for the C32 V-6 conversion for a Civic, it costs $20,000 if you provide the chassis. A shop called Mahdavi motorsports does it. It's a red CRX and it's always in Super-Street.

about putting the 4g63 in a mirage and it bolting right up. It's a do'able swap in the 96 and older, but in the 97+, the engine is the wrong way around and the only 4g63 engine that would work is out of an EVO IV+
