man i have an auto. i got the white wire as the constant 12v, i put both battery wires together to it. i got the starter wire as black and red. but i still need the 2 ignition wires-one thats 12v at the start and on positions and the other 12v at the on position. i think i can splice both of those together but my schematics say that its a black/white wireand a blue wire, respectively. but both of those wires give me 12 v at the accessory positions.

wire it to the "on" position, do not put a wire to the start position wire! that will just fry the shit out of your starter...cause it will give it a constant 12v so it wont turn off! let me know of anything else you need!

does it matter if the car's ignition wires have 12 v at the accessoory positions, as well as at the on and start positions? and where exactly is the tach wire????

you can tap into the tach wire behind the stock tach if you really want to add another tach.. and for the remote start, hook it up to the ON position wire, nothing else!!!! do you put the ignition on acessory after you start it? no! it goes to the on position, otherwise your gunna mess up you car and your computer and other electronics wont work right...

the remote start module that i am using requires 5 wires to be interfaced with the ignition wires. 2 to a constant 12v, 2 to ignition 1 to an accessory and one to a start wire, which you are refferring to. my question is in regards to the 2 ignition wires- can i put them on wires that show 12v at the acc position as well as the on and start positions?? it also requires a tachometer wire to be interface with the tach so the remote start module knows how to work. i need to know what color and where the tach wire is, or how to test for it. i have a digital multimeter. i already have the wire from the alarm in the engine compartment, so if there is a wire there that i can use, it would be easier for me.... i appreciate your help man....

yes you can hook it up to the accessory, but make sure that you hook the right one up to the on position wire! anyways on the tach wire for the starter, tap into your coil pack, i'm not sure on what wire it is right now i will run out to my car and check in 2 seconds... i'll be back and let you know in about 3 minutes.

ok it was the brown wire that goes into the coil pack... the first wire closest to you on the plug, when it is still attached to the coil pack, hope that helps.

is the coil pack the hub where all the 4 wires plug into right in the center of the engine compartment?? and you are talking about the plug on the right side of the coil pack that has i think 3 wires coming off it???

DO NOT JUST HOOK UP THE 2ND IGNITION TO WHATEVER YOU FIND. Just because you have an extra wire on the remote start doesn't mean you have to use it. Your car does not have a 2nd ignition wire.

he said all he needs is an accessory wire and the ignition wire, it doesnt matter where he goes for the accessory wire as long as it is 12v when the car is on!!!

No, he said on the remote he has 2-12v inputs, 2 IGNITIONS, 1 acc., and 1 starter. His car only has ONE ignition input. Therefore, he shouldn't just hook the extra wire..."you can hook it up to the accessory, but make sure that you hook the right one up to the on position wire." What could happen is it could make the PCM throw a check engine code. Plus, he won't get as much power to the PCM because of the un-needed items being on.

Hey Guys I Desperatley Need Your Help-- It Worked The First Few Times I Used The Remote Start Than It Tried To Work And The Whole Car Shut Off!!!! The Car Wouldnt Start I Ungrounded The Alarm And It Still Wouldnt Start- I Jumped It And When I Took The Cables Off It Died- I Finally Got It To Start On Its Own And It Died-- The Only Way It Would Stay Running Is If I Kept My Foot On The Gas. Once I Took My Foot Off The Rpms Dropped Off And The Car Shut Off!!! I Ungrounded The Car For A Few Minutes And Then Tried Again. No Luck- Nad God, Do I Need Some Right Now!! I Noticed A Relay Clicking In The Engine Compartment-- Its The Top Right One Mounted To The Firewall On The Drivers Side-- It Just Lept Clicking Till I Ungrounded The Car!! Pleeeeeeze Help Me!!!

Sounds like a fried PCM to me. That's a trip to the dealer and a lot of $$$ That's why installs should be left for the pros :banghead:

The problems associated are just what you are having. The PCM is the vehicle's computer that makes it run. It might be something simple but I do not know. You'll have to find someone that atleast has a computer scan tool.
