Highest milage

So...who has or has had the highest milage Chevy here? Since everyone else out there says that domestics can't hold up for more than 80k miles or so, I'll gladly be the first to prove them wrong. :) My 82' S10 had 217,000 on it before the tranny went out. Was in two wrecks before I had it. Gave it to my cousin's friend, and he is now driving it. I believe it now has 225,000 on it and still running, bent frame and all.

My 92 Camaro RS 305 had 215,000 on it before I rebuilt it.

my *ford* (hey, its a domestic!) thunderbird LX V6 had almost 190,000 miles. It ran perfect. Proabaly could have lasted 100,000 more miles. I sold it to some kid for $600.

1987 Chevy Sprint.... 450,000, sold it to a friend when it had around 330,000, they put the additional miles on it... don't think its running anymore. Never been rebuilt. Actually that was one of the best running cars i have seen. It just wouldn't die. I also worked on a 1994 or 1995 can't remember for sure, Chevy truck, 454 engine, it had 384,000 miles on it, never had a problem with it. I was just tunning it and normal maintenance. The truck was used for hauling 5th wheel trailers across the states. He would always put a Fram triple gaurd filter on it and ran 20/50 weight oil in it. Never anything else. Currently, my mothers 1989 pontiac grand prix ( 3.1 liter v6 ) has 185,000 miles on it, and my sisters Pontiac Formula ( 5.0 liter TBI ) has 172,000 miles on it. Never had any problems with either one of them. Except normal maintenance, like starts, altenators, battery, and tuning up. My sister just wrecked the Formula, messed up pretty good but the engine still runs strong

Just rolled over 30k on my car. I know, not much at all, but I'm never getting rid of it, and it will continue to grow :sunglasse

My friend has a 58 chevy with over 500,000 on the original straight 6. Thing has never been cracked open. It's sitting in his backyard now collecting dust cuz he dropped a 350 in the truck. Engine still ran like a champ. Love that stovebolt 6.

This delivery driver for Dominoes had over 700,000 miles on his truck, he did put a new motor in somewhere along the line...but he is still driving it I think.

Well I cannot compare the 700,000 miles (and I hope I can get that out of mine). My 94 Camaro (yes the V6 "slowmaro") has 196,453 and kicking. Nothing major but services. I am asking though how to get a transmission mount for it as nobody seems to know where to get one. Other than that she purrrrrrs
