I just got a 95 talon tsi awd, and there is a problem with the idle. The idle is kind of low, it sits at a constent 500rpms. I was wondering what would cause it to idle to low? i checked on the dsm faq's and the only thing i could come up with was that screw (not sure the name of it). Any one know what the problem might be?

The idle adjustment screw is on top of the thottle body, kind of hard to miss.
Sounds to me though like the idle speed contol motor isn't functioning. They are expensive, unless you get one from a bone yard.
Mine stopped working on my 92 talon, and I drove the car for several years that way. I just upped the idle to a little over 1000 rpm. It only needs to be that high if you use your A/C, if not you can get away with 900 or maybe less (assuming you have a stick).
Just in case you're wondering, both the idle speed screw and the idle speed motor increase or decrease the idle the same way, they allow more or less air through the throttle body. The difference is that the idle speed motor is controlled by the ECM automatically.
