motor swap

i have an 89 chevy conversion van with a blown 305. bought a 76 nova with a good 305 in it. i've been told that it would bolt right in with no problems.while tearing down the nova motor i noticedthat there are 2 holes missing in the front where the a/c bracket goes. :banghead: it is located in the head on the 89 motor. are the heads interchangeable? i can't afford a 350 like i wanted so i am stuck making this work out.any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I would assume the heads would be interchangeable in that they fit, but the heads designed for the van will probably perform differently than the heads built for the nova.
To simplify matters, you could always put the nova motor straight in and have no AC!
