You should have seen it.....

Well heres a story for ya...me and my b/f were out last night just driving around in his CRX...remind you its completely stock 1.5 except for the exhaust on it...But anyway...this guy that my b/f knows pulls up in his 2.0 Eagle Talon with a cold air intake and and a exhaust(I know that doesnt do much but still) and is like.."I wanna race you" and my b/f is like ok..so we go to race this kid and we take off and my b/f spun threw 1st and 2nd gear and still beat this kid....It blew my mind as to how this happened...

You tell me which one should win.... a 1.5 CRX with only an exhaust or a 2.0 eagle talon with a cold air intake and exhaust?

Well heres the thing...my b/f is outta high school now and when he was still in school, he hit this kid in the face for runnin his mouth so he really cant stand this kid...so either my b/f is a kick ass driver or this kid cant drive...

B/C that talon should have won hands down, ya know....

Well let me ask you this...How in the hell do you get that he wasnt racing considering the fact that both cars went down a side street and came to a cpmplete stop and took off at the same time....It is possible that my b/f's 1.5L CRX beat this Talon b/c I was there...

Here consider these few ideas:

1. The CRX is a hell of alot lighter in weight than what a Talon is.

2. There less people in my b/f's car then this Talon.

3. After we raced this kid, we took off down a Main st. at the same time and we beat him again.

I dont really care if you believe it or not but I seen it b/c I was in the CRX!

And one more thing, If you dont believe me then just say that, you dont have to come on here and say " Oh your full of shit"

hrmmm...sounds like fun. was it wet out? because "spinning" 2nd in a 1.5 isn't going to be done. maybe u mean chirped into 2nd? cuz when i think "spinning" i think all out, rubber burning.

How in gods name? with those upgrades he should be sitting around 200-210 Hp, Not to mention the godly 4G-63 (could even be a Turbo)
But you know what would really help? if you told us what kind of talon it was......you can get 93Hp Talons or 195Hp AWD TSI Talons.
Specify for jesus sakes!!!! (Year, Style, Turbo or N/A)

Well we know for sure it was a turbo b/c we looked under the hood before we raced it.....but still his 2.0 should have beat our 1.5 and it didnt and thats all I care about....

Hey my b/f told this kid that he didnt wanna race in the first place, my b/f told this kid that he would get smoked by his talon but the kid kept sayin come on come on and just race me so we did and we won!

Congrats. As for whether I believe the kill or not?? Well lets put it this way, Im new to these forums, but not new to auto forums and the same always holds true. I believe you till you are proven wrong or you give me reason not to believe you. Weird things happen and not everyone lies. So, in the end great kill and screw the people who think you are lying because its "Impossible" to beat a Talon with a CRX. Nothing is impossible, its just that bad drivers or retarded drivers are possible. It could be that this kid was a terrible driver with a car he couldn't handle or your b/f is a great driver with great reaction, or it could be a bit outta both.

I think its funny b/c ppl dont believe me but hey I was there and they werent..thats the way that I see it! I dont usually brag about much but my b/f is a great driver and that kid didnt have all his lights on upstairs if you know what I mean...lol...but still it was a win to me and my b/f so thats all I care about!

Ok Ok I'm sorry about the confusion....Heres what happened...This kid kept tellin my b/f that he wanted to race so my b/f said ok...so we pulled into a parking lot real quick and looked under the hood and seen that it WAS NOT a turbo talon...so we raced and my b/f won...

There's a shop around here that won't touch an eclipse... they said it ends up costing them more to fix it then what the customer paid. This is a good shop too.

a non turbo talon, could be non AWD, vs a crx? drivers race? talon is alot heavier, so i don't doubt the kill

i think the 2.0 n/a talon is basically a mid 16 sec car, and the crx dx is capable of high 16s, esp with even just an exhaust, so i could believe that the crx won, but the crx should of only taken it out through first and second gear, and by time it hits third, i think the talon would pull on it, and therefore win a long distance race, ive seen this happen. maybe your bf was the better driver, but i doubt your bf went the full 1/4 mile, i rarely see that in street racing, so do you know how far your bf really went?
