Rear Main Seal on 99 Suburban

Does anyone have information on changing the rear main oil seal on a 99 Suburban 1500 4WD? I am thinking about trying to do it myself. Thanks for any info.

Order a Chilton's Repair Manual from Amazon.com. They only cost $16. I haven't done mine but it usually involves removing the transmission. With 4WD, that is more complicated due to the transfer case. Ask a knowledgable parts guy at your local dealer. Some of those guys were mechanics for 10 years before they got the parts job.
