Bad Idea?

Ok, so some one hit me this presivous summer and i crashed. I crashed bad!!! Months later when i made up my mine to keep riding again, i went bike shoping. I wanted the same type of bike i crashed on, 03 gixxer 750 in blue and white. (The best bike i have ever ridden BTW)

My friend thinks i am nuts, not so much for wanting to get behind the bars, but for wanting the same bike. He knows it wasnt the bikes fault for the crash, he knows how great the bike is and was, but he thinks it is bad luck, or superstition, or an omen or something.

Now i dont normally go for this sorta thing, but the more i think about it, the more it creeps me out a little. Is he nuts or am i? What do you all think. I know that the chopper cruiser crowd buys into superstition more, with things like ride bells and such. Personall i dont believe in luck or superstitions, but this one has got me thinking.

if you like the bike, get it again, just this time, get a pic w/ you on it, send it to whoever hit you with the message "Next time you see this, hit your brakes!"

Since i ride a R1, i think this is where i am suppose to put something like SUZUKI BLOWS YAMAHA FOR LIFE harhar...

The 03 gixxer 750 is an incredible bike, one im hoping to get for the track actually, I think it is a good idea to go back to the last bike you had, it will make you feel the most comfortable riding again I think.

The two dudes in the Burgh who have the Gix750 LOVE that dang bike. Maybe I'll get one when I get rid of my shitty ride.

If you like the bike, get one. Of course, then there's guys like my b/f who got hit on an R6 by a jeep (got hurt pretty bad... months of PT) and then came back and bought a Hayabusa. Contrary to natural desires, don't talk smack b/c he's put down both pegs and fairings on twistie rides. ;) Yeah, he's still a squid at heart, but the heart of that story says that get what you want.

750 is a nice bike. I suggest a used one until your confident again. That way you can resell for what you payed for it if you do so.
