I Hate My Car

My 1992 Grand Marquis...it now sits in my parking lot.
It began a little over a year ago when the check engine light kicked on. I had it checked out and nothing was wrong.
Then all four tires went flat last January.
The light on my radio started to not work half the time.
My windshield wipers stop in the up position when I turn them off.
Then a crack formed on my windshield for no apparent reason.
All the paint on it started to peel.
Then both of my front windows decided to roll down and not come back up.
Then my brake line went.
Then my side view mirror fell off while I was driving.
My dashboard light and tail lights went out simultaneously.
And finally, my starter died. I tried to get a friend to replace it for me, but the bolt on it started to strip.
I hate that car.

:nono: God damn you complain more than my girlfriend
"Then all four tires went flat last January."
That has nothing to do with the car itself.
"The light on my radio started to not work half the time."
Easly fixable if you know how to wire stuff.
"All the paint on it started to peel."
Yeah same here but nothing way serious, only minor shi t.
"My windshield wipers stop in the up position when I turn them off."
Cant help you there
"Then both of my front windows decided to roll down and not come back up."
these cars are known to have faulty window regulators.
...
Clean your erg valve, put all synthetics in the all oils, and take care of your car and you wont have any problems, like me. :2cents:

Ref your wiper problem: Classic Mercury problem. Needs new wiper motor.
Ref the oil: Use the 5W30 synthetic. I use only Amsoil in all our vehicles.

As in the old classic movie Poltergeist.
The old indian mentioned the car was angry.
When's the last time you fed it with premiumgas , or coaxed it with a fine terry cloth when washing it?
Cars need loving too.

As Samiri0 pointed out, even cars need lovin too.
Well my suburban gets plenty of lovin when my wife and I feel freaky at the lake or the mall parking lot.:evillol:

My wife comes from a LONG line of dedicated Ford buffs - when she first told me NEVER to talk nasty to a Ford, I thought she was nuts... still sounds crazy, BUT I have since learned that indeed it IS TRUE!!!!
I dunno if ole' Henry put a spell on the word "Ford" or what, but if you DARE speak bad of or to a Ford, you are doomed to an endless series of problems.
Treat your Ford or Merc as if it was your rich best friend, and watch what happens. They really hate being dirty or lower than 1/4 tank of gas....
Question : How to remove the shifter linkage on a 1989 aod GM, to remove the transmission. Haynes tells how to adj. but i didn't see removal steps.
The TV gromet broke somehow when I changed the valve cover gaskets and drove it home 15 miles =P I know now!! Thanks everone!

i too have had similar experience with cussing a Lincoln when i was in highschool, and her being dirty. shes very cold natured and i was letting her have it, so she started cutting out... so i apologized and promised a bath when we got home, never another problem.
Chryslers are a jealous bunch also, in my driveway at home are 2 buicks, a Chrysler van and 2 lincolns, and anytime either buick or lincoln has work, the Chrysler breaks something as well, so i have to pay attention to her also

That's funny, what you said anarkist61. I had a 1988 Chevy Cavalier RS once and it too was a car just as horrible. It would stall, eat alternators, the A/C would always leak and the water....oh Lord the water.......water would always find a way inside the car no matter what everytime it rained. The last seven times, there was 3 to 4 inches of water on the floor of the interior. Chevrolet lost a future customer after that experience.
