1.8t swap info

I jus bought a 96 2dr golf. i want to do a 1.8t swap. im not new to vws and cars in general. but i know from experience when ur swapping a newer engine into an older car. some custom fab r going to be done.
i know the swap has been done before. i was wondering if anyone on here has done it ? and if so, what do i need to know before i start. other than the basicis ?
