Hey, i got a b18 c1 sitting on my engine stand and ready for a buildup into my 93 si coupe i want to install a turbo kit and was thinking that i want to use a drag gen 3 turbo kit now i dont know much about the b18c internals in such fact as i dont know if i should install some crower steel rods and some new good compression pistons.. I know what your going to say well just depends on the boost i wanna run. I wanna run 6-9 psi daily do u think if i just bolted on the turbo kit it and it will be fine until i can save enough money to upgrade the internals alltogether pistons, rings, rods, cams, valves and just do a port and polish with a thicker metal head gasket. I would appreciate some feedback im still in the learning process. thanks.

from my experience ive always found doing it the right way the first time is always better, im sure that running a 6-9psi boost wont kill the engine but upgrading the internals would always be a good idea when dealing with forced induction

6-9 psi is fine as long as you have it tuned right. BTW: drag sucks ass. Look at the Rev Hard Stage 2 kit. However, the best thing to do IMO is to put together your own custom kit. It will cost a lot less and you are getting parts that you want, not some shitty parts that the company just throws in to make the kit complete. Namely fuel managment crap like FMU's and junk.

Ya i was thinking that either way i should go with the garret t4/t3 turbo
from there on i think i might custom my own kit, Or go with either the drag or rev hard i here good things about both. Any suggestions on ecu upgrades when i turbo i was thinking hondata or jet?.

Hondata most definetely. Nothing works better on a Honda than a Honda chip. the T3/T4 is a great turbo to go with. Not a ton of lag and you can get some real good horsepower out of it once you start building your engine.

are those that are parts already on your car, or ones that your planning on getting?

The turbo kit i dont have everything else i do im running a 93 civic si with a b18 c1, not gonna get the turbo kit forawhile until i can afford a engine buildup. Then im gonna stick a turbo on it. for now im going with what i have which is enough, im buying a r6 for the summer time instead put the civic away while i shave everything and put in some lambo doors with my blitz body kit should be some fun gonna repaint it black and throw some white graphics.. Pics soon waiting for my camera for my birthday!!
