well last night it was raining pretty hard so i was trying to find somebody to race. finally found a stock chevy z71 (haha) that thought he was gonna let me roll by at 30 mph and still beat me (HAHAHAHAHAHA!). well i told this guy about 30 times i didnt need or want a head start, but he could have one if he wanted. he thought it was the funniest thing in the world i was gonna give his v8 a head start. my friend was like "dude its raining this car is all wheel drive were not gonna spin, and we could beat u in the dry anyway" hes like no way this truck can alomost keep up with that truck over there (pointing at a short wheelbase, single cab, 350 vortec v8 powered truck) we said "i already beat that truck" he didnt believe us so we called the owner of THAT truck over and asked him "who won when we raced on DRY pavement" he said "you by 3 or 4 lenghts" suddenly the z71 driver could only say "i dont wanna race i dont feel like racing" but then he got the bright idea he would just put his truck in 4 wheel drive so he could beat me. to make this story short it didnt work big time, i guess the moral is dont ever race an all wheel drive car in the rain, especially if he can beat u by 4 lenghts in the dry.

Nice kill, but I think it's kinda stupid/dangerous to race in the rain.

youve obviusly never driven an impreza... no really youre right, honestly i didnt think anyone to be dumb enough to race me in the rain, but we drove the track ahead of time to make sure no standing water anything like that, but still dangerous neverless. note to all-DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.

Yeah, my friend wrecked (and totalled) his '01 Mustang GT by racing a Camaro in the rain. It sucked. :(
He got around it though....not that it was too moral, but he still got a new '01 GT a few weeks later...

Curious...How'd you manage to beat a Supercharged 350 V8? This sounds almost like a Ford SVT Lightening, which has a supercharged 330 V8 powerplant. It has 380 horsepower and has been known to consitently run 13.5 second passes in the QuARTER.

He didn't say it was supercharged. Not as far as I can read anyway :licker:

not supercharged, if the "vortec" was confusing u, thats what chevy calls certain motors, not to be confused with "vortech" a maker of superchargers. i did beat a supercharged dodge v8 one time, i have no idea why i beat him it was just slow for some reason, but a lightning would kick my ass.
