question on antivirus program

How good is Mcafee personal firewall?? is it a great program?

I use the free Zone-Alarm and it works great.

ZA here too! A little sensationalist (You've had 4 billion hack attempts today!), but otherwise great value.

the best antivirus program out there is probably Mcafee, so i'd recommend the mcafee one, because all the other AV's have a way of geting around them such as norton, its just mcafee has less ways.

Hang on - personal firewall discussion here or antivirus? Totally seperate things, both have been mentioned, often made by same companies and sold together.

yeh i was talkign about the Firewall, but i said the other info, just to back up what i said about Mcafe beign really good. Sorry for the confusion

i have them both currently and they work just fine....except for one thing


....F mcafee because i cannot turn off the antivirus....not even with the system manager....

which is not really a problem except in the rare case some program has issues with it and it crashes

and norton while its better intehrated IMO i've seen it skip viruses too many times

mcafee its by far the most troughrough
