I have an opportunity to buy my wife's Boss's 1978 911 he brought over from Europe. He has not driven it since 99 and his wife says it has to go!
The body etc is in great condition and he is the original owner. BUT he did absolutely nothing to properly store the car. It has been sitting in the garage with boxes on it since 1999!
What has to be done to get it up and running so I can drive it and decide whether or not to buy it? What potential engine problems should I be concerned about, and look for?
Also, can anyone give me an estimated value? Again, he bought in Europe, there is a tag on the inside driver's door that states "Made in West Germany Kunstharzlack 908-8-2". Any information, or history would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
