leaking red fluid

I've got drips of cherry red fluid underneath the vehicle. I cannot see where it is dripping from. I've checked the transmission and the power steering fluid levels and they appear to be full.

Brake fluid level OK too.

Any ideas?

Cherry red would indicate trans fluid
A orange/red would be Dex-cool

What are the odds that my leaky transmission is a minor problem that I can resolve without dropping a fortune. I've just purchased the vehicle and would liek to retunr it if I've got a major financial item on my list.

First thing would be look under the truck and try to determine where the leak is coming from. Might be as simple as a pan gasket or extension housing seal..or expensive and time consuming as a front pump seal.

I lifted it up and could see the drips on the back side of the pan. It's a very very slow leak. 4 or 5 drips in the morning and that's it. My mechanic has recommended trying a seal conditioning product since the leak is so slow. What do you think about this idea?

If the leak is coming from the pan, replace the gasket..(it would be a good idea to service the trans anyway)
