I haven't been on here in a long time but I Finally got someone to buy my crx for 6500 =)
Anyways Heres the problem I can't fix. Start car runs fine. Then warms and up switches into the second fuel map and its starts to pop out the exhaust and buck and/or hesitate. But it only does it when I hold the throttle usually below 3k rpm... If I floor it or give it gas it runs ine but the second I hold it it pops out the exhaust and starts to hesitate. Not really bad but at times when I'm going slow around 15 in like 3rd gear in a sub the car acts like it just shuts off. I'll even floor it and won't go anywhere rpms won't go up. BUt if I drop it a gear then it'll start to move. I remember back a couple of months ago someone said something about an igniter in the distributor. Its fuel or spark somewhere. never changed the fuel pump ever since I got the car (a while ago) Im gonna try that and if not then I'm gonna get an igniter. Are honda igniters interchangable? If not then I'd have to source one from a 90-93 teg I guess but I'm just trying to find someone whos had this problem. Possible ecu? I have a Mugen chip and socket for but cant really find anyone to install it... Any info would be great helps guys I need to get this fixed before I can sell it for 6500 =) Email at [email protected]

Did you install new plug wires? I'm guessing you probably installed them in different orders. That usually results in misfiring and the popping symptom you indicated. You need to rearrange them in the right order. When changing plug wires, always do one at a time.
