Hi there,
My car recently started blowing out white smoke from the exhaust and I was told it was my head gasket, does anyone know how long I can still drive the car before my engine dies or the car will no longer be drivable?
Thnx!

White smoke is antifreeze, make sure you keep it full. You can easily go to next paycheck or something like that, but the longer you drive on it, the greater the chance of damage happening so it really does need to be fixed as soon as possible.

Ok, about every how many miles would I need to replace it and how much does it cost? Basically, I just need the car to survive 1 300-mile trip from New Jersey to North Carolina and then it's off my hands.

Oh yeah, it should be fine doing that. If you're not hard on the engine, it could probably last a month with the bad gasket. I've never paid someone to change a head gasket, so I can't help you there.
