ok heres the deal i live in australia
and i want to know just how many people own a 3clipse?
is it like the most popular small coupe car in the u.s?
or is it still pretty rare compared to civic's,intragra's,lancers?

i live in canada, tha west coast of it anywayz
there is a bunch of 3rd gen ( 2003 up ) eclipses
and then there is a lot of Talons and Lasers and the odd 95 Eclipse GS-T
but there are way more civics. 'tegras, and honduhs in general and cavaliers than anything

so in reality thers like one DSM for every 13 civics, 8 'tegras, and 15 cavaliers

( im guessing as thats what i see day to day, dont hold me to it if im wrong)

but everyone i talk to would like to own a DSM as the Talons around here are mostly Tsi AWD, can't say much for the lasers ( dont really care for them ) But they wont get it they are expensive and nobody really trusts them as nasty rumors about how unreialbe a DSM is, ( they dont know nuthin bout tha car )

but still if the answer wasn't all that obvious
the DSM's and Eclipses are still pretty rare compared to the Lancer, Civic, and "Tegras

I live in CT and the people who own the 3rd gen's are the ones who bought it when it first came out. The 2nd gen was very popular but the 3rd made people lose interest. Most of the 3rd gen's are like 00 or 01. I still see more 2nd gens on a daily basis.
The civics, tegs, and cavs are what I see the most for passenger cars. I also see mustangs just as much as those three crap cars above. Hopefully mitsubishi will make up for the mistakes that they made on the 3rd gen. The new eclipses better be pretty damn powerful.

i highly doubt that will happen, look at the 3g's they suck for power, i think all it can get is worse!! i tried looking on the bright side but thats when the 3g came out, upsetting! oh well, who knows, maybe i'm wrong, i sure hope so... thats just my :2cents:

the new eclipse was a mistake , i mean inline 6 ??? if its gonna be a six make it V6, and there no even turbo'ed ( well not the ones that there sellin here in Canada ) so ya bring back the old days of the 1ST Gen and 2ND Gen anyday

They are v6's.... 3.0 liters in fact.... not inline six's...as far as tunability.... they can be s/c... im sure there are turbo kits out and still in the works... I honestly dont like the newer eclipse's.... same horsepower out of 1 more liter and 2 cylinders and its slower than the old one.. fuck that... if you notcie the progression and evolution of a car... they always get better and usually faster.. Ecept in the case of the eclipse.... Just my :2cents:
