Has anyone changed the LED's behind the AC, heater controls?? I want mine to match my blue instrument cluster gauges. Wondering the type of LED it is, even if it is a LED. Any information on the type of LED/Bulb is behind there and a good place to buy them would be appreciated.

i dont know about the new ones, but i just took out the stock bulbs, drilled a bunch of holes, and stuck regular leds in there with super glue. it turned out nice.

i can sell you some for 1.50 a peice if you would like. they would come with a resistor allready soldered in and heat shrunkm, ready for 12V. i also have some wire taps so that you dont have to strip wires to get power or ground. 75 cents for each of those. the leds look like this pic except the gound lead has heatshrink around it too. the power lead has blue heat shrink around it. if you want to get the leds to disperse light at a wider angle, just sand or chip the top down flat. then whatever shipping is. shoot me an email [email protected].

so i dont have to keep saying this in emails.....
i used about 6 in that picture. thats prolly more than you need though. you really get an idea of what you need buy going back there. i have no clue about how the 2003 tiburon is illuminated back there though.
i can include 10ft. of blue 18ga wire for 2 dollars with it. i also have led holers. with these, you can drill a .25" hole anywhere and mount an led in it. these are 50 cents each.
when you connect the leds up, take the exposed part of the blue lead, bend it in half(or more, just make sure it doesnt stick out of the crimp terminal) and stick it in the connector for the power wire(refer to picture). then, crimp it down HARD to make sure you have a good connection. then just find a power wire and squeeze it into the little groove on the metal peice in the connector. you can do this with pliers, but a crimping tool would work best.
to ground it, put the black lead of the LED in the other type of connector in the one hole that has plastic at one end. then just slip your ground wire through the outside whole, and squeeze the metal down. then take the plastic thing and push it down untill it snaps into place.
and heres a new picture of the stuff i have...

it all depends on what you are wanting to do with them. if you are just adding light in certain places, then it fairly easy. just drill a hole for the led mount ring and wire them to power and ground. you can find those wires in the etm section of www.hmaservice.com/webtech
it gets tricky if your trying to change the color of your illuminations though, fitting the leds in is kinda tough. i just got some 3mm blue ones though too. so if you want some of those, wait about a week or so and they will be ready to go.

Hmm sounds difficult. Well i was wanting to change the whole center console/instrument cluster, whatever u wanna call it. Like the ac knobs the clock light, everything. What would that take ?
