Remote Starter Question

Hi, I would like to get a remote starter for my 2001 Jetta VR6. Could anyone tell me how this works with the stock car alarm from the dealer? Also what brand is good? I noticed a lot included car alarms, do I have to get a new alarm now? Any problems that you had with it once installed? Does this void my warranty with VW? Any information would be great to help me find the best one for my Jetta. Thanks guys. Gary

I recomend DEI remote starters. You should be able to find a good dealer close to you selling the Valet brand. Go to www.directed.com to see.

As far as warranty, your car should be about up right? I mean, they only have a 2/24k warranty. Trust me, even if you wax the car with non VW wax they'll give you the run around on warranty. I had to fight them with my lemon '99 Jetta.
