i have an 88 hatch, it is really low, i can barely put my fist under it, i scrape on everything(speed bumbs, speed humps really kill me) and i had to cut my old muffler off because there was so much dirt in it, from scrapping on dirt roads... i was wondering what some of you guys have done with your mufflers to(kinda) prevent scraping it? and what would be a good exhaust to get? i don't want the stupid loud rice burner, rattle can sound, but a nice low sound. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance...

Just out of curiosity what shocks are you using... you can minimize the ammount you are scraping by using a more heavy duty shock/strut.

That's the price you pay for being that low. I've got a Thermal R&D muffler on my car (for now), and it's pretty...uh....tall (for lack of a better word). Even with my coilovers cranked all the way down I would usually only scrape the muffler if I hit a bump hard on the highway. Looks cool at night :grinno: , but the muffler has had the crap beaten out of it.

The GReddy I have to replace the Thermal is quite a bit thinner, so it shouldn't scrape at all...
