Sup yall, ok... i have a 91 crx dx... umm o yeah, ummm .... o sorri short attention span.. ok their is a tapping sound from my kar and i herd its the lifters but it doesnt have lifters i jus need a valve adjustment or somin that was what i was told, but now im having a diffrent knock sound and it goes away when i push the clutch in.. do u guys have n e clue of whut it might be? i think its my throw out bearing, but im hoping its not kuz i dun want 2 drop my tranny.... tell me whut u think plz :feedback:

Your right there aren't "lifter's" The rocker arms ride the camshaft pushing the valve down into the head. You'd actually be adjusting the valve clearance between rocker arm & valve assy.(valve/retainer/keepers/spring) That should be done about every 30,000 miles while the engine is cool.

Its hard to say what the noise is that your hearing, without actually hearing it. It could be the throw-out bearing, but chances are its an internal bearing like the input shaft bearing. If thats the case, instead of wasting time/money rebuilding your trans a rebuilt would be better & only like $300(not including shipping)
