im 15 years old and am in the process of restoring a 66 mustang, i read most of the posts on here and you tell people to get a diff car first before a vr-4. Do you think i could handle a vr-4 after having 2-3 years experiance driving the mustang? I really want a 95 VR-4 and i think in 2-3 years the price will drop into my price range (as much as i can save from a relativly good job in 2-3 years) plus my granpa said he would by my mustang if i want to sell before im 18 that lines up another 3-4g's.

Thanks for you input

Yes, if you drive any car for 2 or 3 years on a daily bases you will be able to handle a VR-4! Esspecially a car with a little power like a 66' Mustang. Definatly start saving up, the price of the car will drop, but the parts will become harder to get, and VR-4s are not cheap to maintain! Make sure you buy one thats in good shape, with good turbos!

The VR4 is a forgiving car (the AWD helps a lot) and with a few years driving under your belt, you'll be able to drive it without a problem.

I'd like to see some pics of the 66 you're restoring
