hey, i just recently got into cars and i have a few questions...

I really want a 99 gsx but i read that DSMs are not for newbies cause they tend to have a lot of problems. I deliver pizzas for a living and would it be a bad idea for a total car illiterate dumbass to get one of these, and if i do get one id like to get some mods to get up around 350-400 hp? Im also looking into integras, i hear that they are pretty dependable cars. but the thing is i want to be able to waste my friends 90 talon tsi that runs low 13's - high 12's, would a integra with a turbo beat him??? and to kinda make my question a little clearer, how much money am i looking at to get a eclipse gsx or a integra that would beat my friends car, and what will be better for my job?

Don't get me wrong, Integras are ok cars. But i would much rather buy a turbo car than try and turbo and N/A car. Alot less money and more realiability if you ask me

i would go with the GSX, your probably looking at a price range of 1500-2500 to get there if not faster... and for the integra, your never gunna see those times for that amount of money! but for the pizza business, the integra might be better on gas, but its still a honduh, so go with the GSX and you will be happier in the end!!! good luck

i'm not sure cause i dont have a 400hp gsx, 95GSXRacer will be the better person to ask about that, and i am sure he will be around soon to answer that, im sure its not to terribly bad, it cant be any less than half of what you are already getting...

28-30 ALL highway. 24 average with an even split between highway and city with plenty of boosting (25 psi) and smoking ricers daily, but as low as 18 city/hwy average if I get on the gas more than usual. :)
I would also recomend the GSX. 350-400 whp in a honda will require motor work, and will ultimately just be a waste of rubber. Not that i wouldnt still have respect for it, but its not worth it IMO.

i say gsx all the way with the supporting mods on the motor like 95gsx said you can make 350 hp

How many turboed AWD integras do you see?
It is probably a better idea to race your friend with th AWD car and not the integra.
