I have a 2000 Rodeo, today the fan bracket broke on it. It is the bracket that holds the fan clutch onto the engine block.I'm trying to find out if anyone has seen this problem before. Does the fan clutch have anything to do with this?

What do you mean by "fan bracket"? Did one blade separate & fly off the hub :uhoh:  ?? I've not heard of this happening, but if you have a damaged fan blade which causes the fan to spin out of balance, the whole thing could catastophically fail.

in the past five years working on these I have seen about three of these it is usually a loose bolt that causes it two of them that I had had previously been worked on at a body shop and they did nnot tighten all of the bolts which caused it the other no to sure of what happened to the nut that was supposed to be there I guess it was not tightened during assy.

I have replaced the bracket it cost me $500 canadian!!!! It was not a bolt that borke on it they were still in place. The bracket broke two of the three corners, that hold it on to the engine. My clutch fan does seem to be loose and there is a lot of nosie from that area of the engine. So I will change it to see if the elements the noise.

I just got back from the Dealer, I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2L V6 2WD. The mounting bracket broke in two. The two lower screws were not even there, this is probably what caused the break. I spent $252 for the bracket and serpentine belt which was already old and was showing cracks already but when the bracket broke, it tore the belt to shreds.

I was going to go with aftermarket or even junkyard but I rather pay a bit more and get the 1 year parts warranty, plus the sales person was great, gave me some kind of discount which saved me $50+.
