2000 6Cyl. Idle Problem

After jump starting my 2000 6Cyl Cherokee the Jeep runs fine except when I come to a stop. The idle drops so low that it usually stalls out. The Jeep ran fine before having to jump it. The battery died because I left an interior light on.

After using the Jeep for a while including several stops and restarts the problem persists and now the checkengine light has come on.

Someone suggested the computer needs to be reprogrammed.


Any suggestions would be appreciated.
