hi all this is my first car with rims on it and guess what i don't know how to keep good care of it, the problem is how do i keep the brake pads from rusting cause my friend has a mazda 6 with rims and his brake bads are all rusted up any pointers? and how can i check the tires to see if they're worn out or not

I assume you mean the brake calipers are rusting, the only way to really prevent that is to paint them. You can get some good caliper paint from any local auto parts store, just make sure you prep them well before painting (scrape off all the rust, clean them, etc). To see if the tires are worn out, well that's pretty easy, There should be some small ridges in between the tread on your tires, when the tread wears down so it's even with these little ridges it's time to change your tires.

Yes, his suggestions are good!^^

I've noticed that sentra rotors tend to rust easy as well as the calipers and the brake dust shield. You can paint them but if you have big money to burn then get those aftermarket kits...preferably Brembo or get one from an NX2000

Just don't paint the rotors :)

and if you have nice rims, use ceramicbrake pads, otherwise you'll have to clean your rims a lot more due to brake dust

rotors rust and cannot be prevented especially after driving on a rainy day. Make sure you rotate your tires frequently to get the most life out of your tires for oversized after market rims and tires (3000mi).
