does anybody know how to make a hood pin for an alarm? is it a one or two wire hook up into a compressed pin? do u splice into siren or a shock sensor or something? i want to add some pins to my hood and trunk to add some safety. i have a viper 500esp with shock and proximity sensor

the grey wire yes. But doesn't the 500esp have a remote start on it? It has been too long since i have installed one of these. Anyhoo some of the older alarms with r/s the hood wire was for the r/s portion and didn't always trigger so if this is the case. Try going to a local shop and getting some mercury tilt switches. They are very simple to install and run the output to the instant grnd trigger green i do believe or just tap the wire that goes to the corresponding light on the cluster which ever you think is easier... The trunk is the same way.

I 2nd the mercury tilt switch. Mostly because it will never fail like a pin switch. The pin switches will corrode and stop working.
