Radiator plug problem - 1997 sunfire

I have a 1997 sunfire, I was trying to change the antifreeze. When I tried to turn the drain plug it only turned about 1/4 turn then stopped. I feel like if I force it any more it will break. Any one ever change their own antifreeze? Have any problems with the drain plug?
