1996 Sunfire Headlight Disassembly??

How is the easiest way to remove the outter lense cover?? I mean I can remove the 4 silver clip's which look's like is holding the clear lense on but it seem's like they are 'glued' together with black silicon or something simular..... Maybe a heat gun..??

Hey i have been having probelems with my headlights and i just took everything apart I just pulled at them a little you said you have black stuff I will check mine and see if mine have that or see if I can help you.

Hey gents I have the same problem; don't know how to get to the headlights for replacement. HELP...

you heat them up alil in the oven, the glue will become soft again and they kinda fall apart, I have never done this but heard/seen a couple of friends do this, I can't remember what the temp should be at but i'm guessing like 150 so it won't melt the plastic and just the glue. Then when you are ready to put them back together you can, 1 try to melt the glue again and put them back together and hope they stick, or 2 go to the store and by Aqua Tank Glue (its like the glue for fish tanks). Hope that helps and that people stop calling me a newbie:)
