Which car has the highest potential of 1/4 mile time...

I said Supra because it's engine has the biggest displacement. More power potential. But then again, I don't know much about import tuners. :uhoh:

Why there isn't a choice of NSX? (Or NSX-R?)

Probably because it's $80,000+

the EVO can run 11's and 10's for cheaper, but the supra can make more power easiler, but the problem with the supra is that it has problems getting that power to the ground. once you make over 400whp (its is not hard at all for a supra) it is difficult to put that kind of power down on only 2 wheels. now i still choose the supra becusae i don't care about 1/4 mile. i care about flat out highway speed. and even the stock supra will destory and i mean DESTROY any of those AWD cars listed. and will edge out the RX-7. and imagine what a 800whp supra would do on the highway. it is proven that it can even take out a hyabusa on the highend roll. which is what i'm into.

The Supra, IMO, has more potential than the other three.

still the supra. can go faster than the others.

why wasn't the skyline mentioned in this? but i'm going for the supra, though i think on a highway roll a stock supra and a rx-7 would be a good race.

But isn't that the NSX beats up the Supra seriously?
The only problem with NSX here is that the limit on the computer about horsepower is too low...

why hasn't the skyline been mentioned?
hmm.
which of these cars, on national circuits, is going lower than 8 seconds?
the supra and the rx7.
the rx7's are faster. but then we're talking tube framed cars.
the fastest "stock" supra (used loosely) is vinny ten, and he's in the 7's.
evo's and wrx's can easily hit 9's though.
consider easystreet racing's wrx. 9's. 740hp.
for the evo, buschur's stage 4 kit, with a stock motor and stock turbo, is running mid 11's. (it's on their site, www.buschurracing.com)
rx7's are consistently into the 10's, and can go lower easy.
but really, not one of these cars was built for the 1/4, nor really intended for it.
the best candidates are the rx7 and the supra, b/c they're rwd.
but that doesn't mean they've got the most potential, honestly.
if you want to go dollars/ET, the evo is going to be your best bang for the buck runner...

also.
what's your question pertain to?
by the records, the supra is your fastest car, but you probably want to go by price.
so, for the "bang for the buck" award, i'd go for the evo. anything else?
if money's no object, pull the vinny ten, back-half the chassis, make 1300hp, and put a power glide trans in it and trailer it to the track.

The Supra by far even though I'm not a fan of them. If you're talking about theoretical potential you have to look at professional drag racing. Larger displacement, rear wheel drive which would be tubbed with slicks on a serious 1/4 mile car. No doubt about it the Supra is capable of the most by far.

I'm not really gonna race my car on the strip....mainly street drag (highway) races...
which car best suits that purpose (Fastest...most potential)
Do you think the SUPRA can be the EV08
bothed maxed out?

id have to say the supra would be the fastest in a strait line.... though the skyline would out do the supra, i belive the supra has a higher top speed...
i think blind side is a muscle head lol... sounds like it "more displacement, more power" ok wutever the rx7 is 1.3L and its potential is more than most 2.0L and higher cars

lets see, do u mean in a strait line? SUPRA vs EVO8??? or on a course... well the most ive seen is
evo8 800bhp
supra 1,300bhp
who do u think would win in a strait line?
on a course im not sure... if there are a lot of strait aways then i would say supra again even though it would be slower on turning... but if there were turns ever 2 feet then definately the evo8

How drivable would a 1300bhp supra be on a track? Thats quite a bit of power to be twisting around turns. Though it would be interesting to see how well it would do.
And by the way, whats wrong with "more displacement, more power"? I don't see anything muscle headed about that comment. An RX-7 1.3 rotary can be argued of actually being a 2.6, which would actually make it larger than a 2.0 given it even more potential.
I would think the Supra would have the most potential being one reason of its larger displacement (which cannot be ignored). Have it tuned out by some good hands, and you will have one seriously higher powered car.

he said which car has the most potential... not if you can handle the power going arround turns
