First real races in ITR (Long)

ok, so tonight, i decide to go out w/ some friens an see wut everyone's got.

here's the line-up: 2000 ITR, 2001 S2000, 89 240SX (i/e), 87 300ZX and a 2002 Lightning SVT.

so, i run the s2k first.

before anyone call's bs, the guy jus got this car a couple of days ago, and he's a poor driver anyways.

back to the story...we line up and decide to go on two honks. so honk honk, we're off. he sits an spins while i launch fine and have 3/4 of a car after 1st. i chirp hard into 2nd and leave him another 1/2 car. chirp 3rd, then jus hold about a car and a half on him before we slow.

2nd race: race the 240...well it wasn't really a race. led him from the launch and took him by about 5 cars before i shut down 1/2 into 3rd.

3rd race: race the 300ZX (n/a)...well, once again it was about the same. had about 4 cars tho 1/2 way into 3rd.

finally...got to run the lightning. we both knew he'd destroy me, so he jus told me to launch and he'd go after he saw me move. so i launch and he shows off and jus spins his tires. had about 3 cars after 1st because of this, but then his tires caught 2nd and he was within 1/2 a car after 2nd. i hear him roaring, and in 3rd he is passing me when we had to slow (road ends.) so...he rocked me...

so we goto a party an chill, but i wasn't really feeling it so i went out for a drive. im getting onto I5 and i see a black IS300 next to me. onto the freeway we both gun it and i leave him back a couple cars (dunno wut point he shut down.)

we get next to eachother going about 85 (he wouldn't slow any further for the race for some reason.) he drops and i follow into 4th. he quickly pulls about 1/2 a car, but from about 100-110 we hold, then i pull back and put 1/4 of a car on him up to 125ish.

so that was my night...any q's about how something wut down, feel free to ask (i know the s2k might be tough to believe...)

CLIFFNOTES: beat an s2k (car and 1/2), 240sx (too easily), 300ZX (too easily). lightning beat me. then i beat an IS300 from stop and roll.

Oh im sure you did beat the S2k the Type Rs got to be pretty close proformance wise so if he couldnt drive then he should lose. Also I think the 2001's are the slower ones.

:grinno: just j/k and nice kills...and its not hard to belive the s2000 kill...the powerband in those sucks and its takes a very good driver to use it efectivelly


btw what is a typical 0-6 and 1/4 mile of an itr?

somewhere around 6.5 and 14.8 on average for that yr type r.

KrN, I would love to line-up against a stock ITR to see how I would do against one.

I have also ran against a modded, N/A Z31, and beat him about the same lengths (3-4) by third.

I think it would be really close:)...

i think it'd be very very close too. both lsd...u've got the torque, i've got the hp...it'd be a nice race.

RACERD12, ur thinking about the 2000 s2k, which is the slowest of the bunch so far. after that, they're all pretty even.

i've driven the s2k and he SHOULD be able to beat me (it simply is faster.) so i told him i'd give him a week (then he goes back to iraq) an we'll line up again.

good posts, R-Power! nothing beats a teg Type R, nothing...well, that is, unless it is a Ls1 type R then it would beat the Type R.

nice runs, only a few people on here know how to story tell. very few.

ran an ls/vtec integra. he got the jump on me in 1st and led about 1/4 of a car into 2nd. shifted perfect and pulled past him about a tire in 2nd, then put a car on him in 3rd.

he make excuses like "oh...i thought it was gonna be another slow type r, so i short-shifted...blah blah blah..."

haha...but u could SMOKE my ITR w/ ur LS.


Yea, but you could easily smoke my LS with a small amount of mods :(
Plus the ITR looks soo much better IMO

Yea I think it is soo funny whn people make up stupid excuses of why they lost :loser: I just say "hey man that thing is fast, what ya done to it?" And I admit that I lost no big thing, there is always someone faster :p
Well actually I lied about the post above, one time I denied a fair race is when a Mazda MP3 smoked me :eek7: <-- That is how my face looked LOL. Still don't know what was done toit but I know a girl was driving it and she beat me by .6 in the 1/4 and I was on the bottle and ran low 14 sec pass. Oh well.

honestly, i'd never use that one, but it is a legit excuse (if there is such a thing) because the locking is all based off of oil pressure.

if u have too many miles on a DOHC VTEC motor between oil changes, it will engage/disengage throughout the VTEC Cam's range. it's almost like u floor it/take foot off/floor it...etc...
