4lug Rim ??

Hi. First time in this fourum, and I have a major question to ask. I am the proud owner of a 1986 Toyota Corolla 3dr 5spd HB :evillol: The rims I have now are 4spokeish and have 4lugs, and on the center caps they say Carroll Shelby Racing, or something. Everycar like mine I have seen so far has these rims, they're quite puny and thin. Ok, here's my question, the other day there was a black Infinity G20 4dr down my street that had FACTORY 4lug, 8spoke rims, looked about 17'' give or take, with some nice medium profile tires. I found a local wheel shop that has 4 of the rims, and can put tires on, align, and/or rotate them if needed, the guy said come by for a price, depends on whether he wants the sale or not. So, anyway, I was wondering, since they're 4lug, so is my car, would they posisbly fit onto my car? Will they go right on? Will they effect my steering, cornering capabilities? It would be very nice if someone with experience could :1zhelp: me out with this. Thanks.

Ther's quite a bit involved with try to swap wheels between different makes. There's the bolt circle, the offset (difference bewteen the center line of the wheel and the mounting suface), Center hub diameter, clearances for the brake components, etc.
You should also be aware that when you swap tires and wheels there may be some interference problems in the fenderwell.
Starting with the bolt circle, your Corolla has a 4 X 100mm, but the Infinity has a 4 X 114.3. That won't work!
But since the guy you were talking to sells wheels, maybe he has a set that will fit your bolt pattern. This could be an opportunity to see if he is worth doing business with. He should tell you what will work and what won't.
Hope this helps.

Helps a bunch. Now, I'll call the guy and ask if he has a set of rims similar to those of the infinity that'll fit my car. It's hard to find nice rims for 4lug cars.

You can see a complete listing of wheels we have for your car here:
http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=EP2&url=index.jsp
All of these would be a direct bolt on for your car. As long as you stick with the listed tire sizes matched to each wheel you should have no problems.

That's cool grant, but I believe I checked there before and your selection didn't have what I was looking for, but I'll look again. thanks.
