Tubo Boost

i have a 1990 eagle talon tsi 16v dohc turbo and I was driving it the other day and my turbo won't kick in. The turbo gauge doesn't go past 0. It feels as if I'm driving a regular 4 cylider. The engine runs good but doesn't have Turbo boost. Is there a simple solution to this

i had the same problem on my talon, u "cooked" ur turbo, if u want ur car to run i suggest u change the turbo asp cause the engine wont run without turbo for long

An easy way to check if your Turbo is dead or if you have other problems is to remove the intake piping (from the airbox to the turbo). Once that is removed from the turbo, try spinning the turbine wheel. If it spins freely, you likely have other problems. If not, your turbo needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

i agree try to spin it and also check if it wiggles up and down. if so you got some issues. Also check all your i/c pipes for leaks. if you gotta get a new turbo upgrade to a 16 or 20g.
