any one ever attempted this. I just bought a 97' and its got the 4x10's above the rear hatch. I've got some brand new top of the line kenwood's that I dont want to see go to waste. I plan on running a 4 channel 600w DEI amp and one 12 DEI sub. with the factory head unit. And of course up grading the factory door speakers. Anyways, anybody's input is greatly appreciated!! Later, Chris......

what is the 4 channel powering? You are going to have to cut and fabricate holes to fit the speakers I assume. Why a DEI 12? DEI makes great amps. I'd pick up a ed12a.22 or a JL W7 12/13.5. Maybe even a brahma. Haven't head much about or of a DEI sub, but with only 300 wrms, that is one wimpy sub, I would think.

the only reason I'm wanting to use this stuff is I just sold a my old car and thats what i had in that, i yanked it all out. The amp and subs are only prob. 2 yr. old. I know if i tried to sell them i could'nt get nothing for them, so i'd like to see if i can fit the stuff in my Tahoe. Whats wrong with the DEI subs? I've got 2 of em in a ported box that sounded good enough for me in my car with the 6x9's and 4x6's up front. I'm no guru when it comes to stereo equipment, so help me out please!! The box is to big for the back, takes up too much space. I cant just use one of the subs. and build my own (or buy) a custom enclosure?? Are these subs. not worth it or what, i thought the kicked good for the$$ I paid for them. Input please!!

What are you using the 4 channel for? also the subs are fine, I would buy a custom ported box. I just have never heard the subs, figured you were buying them. If you like the sound then you are fine.
