DO NOT BUY "performance chips" or "timing mods" off of ebay!!!
all it is a resistor that lowers the voltage going to the ecu form your MAF or MAP. it makes the ecu think there is more air and so the ecu adds more fuel. maybe a little hp, but you risk a lot when running an engine rich, such as it EXPLODING!!!
they are junk and do nothing. in most cases, an upgrade chip is not needed on stock cars. the stock ecu is more than enough to handle anything you throw at it untill you get to boosting the engine.

real engineering is the only ecu manufacturer that i know of. expensive with only a few extra hp.

the gains are exponential though. your personal gain will depend on how much you've done to your car.
i wouldnt do it the shitty, temporary way that will inevitably have to be changed later down the road though. id ripp all the stock shit out and stick in a haltech system!!!

exactly. if you get a Real ecu now, decide to supercharge your v6, then you'll need a different Real ecu. sucks, but those are the breaks.
