Wind Noise in 2002 LS

My dad has a 2002 LS and has had constant wind noise from the rare driver side window. Is this a normal problem? It is driving him crazy and the dealer says that they cannot fix it.
If you have this same problem and had it resolved, please tell me how.

It is not uncommon. In all cases where it was fixed, they had to replace the quarter window. My 2000 also has a little noise. It's not bad enough for me to want the grease monkeys tearing it apart.
