WallMart Malls

I was talking to a guy I know that helps design the layouts of the WallMart Super Stores. He said that WallMart is going to start building Malls.

Instead of departments like their department stores have they will have individual stores in the Mall.

Anyone else heard about this?

I think Wal-Marts trying to become a monopoly.

Wal Mart is basically like a small mall anyways. Just add more movies, video games, music, cloths, food and put them all in different rooms. Now you got a full blown mall.

The only good thing I can see comming from it is lower prices. I don't see how the stores in the regular malls can compete with them. They just don't have the buying power.

i cant really imagine it as a mall. I understand what you guys are sayign, but i doubt it will go that far.

Then Walmart opens, & Main street look's like a ghost town :eek7:
IMO it's just wrong :banghead: They come in saying how many job's there going to make. But fail to say or bring to light how it will kill your small town USA. :nono:

i wish that made them into malls. i love walmart, but don't go there nearly enough as i should. great items pretty darn cheap.

I know where your comming from. But this is a capitalist society. Any one who can offer a product cheeper is going to get the customer. I understand that with smaller stores, private owned business you get better service, but if im in the market for nyquill at four in the morning, most likley that Mom and Pop store isnt going to be open, and since walmart buy a gazillion bottle at a time they can offer it cheeper. Also with a small town usa most likely working or owning a store isnt going to bring you the "much needed in today world" health care you NEED. Where as stores like walmart can offer great employee benifits.

Just my thoughts.

i'd hate to go there....they have shitty music....censored everything.....watered down stuff that should sound good sitting next to pop and more country than anything:screwy::disappoin

in my town of 40,000 residents and 40,000 students we have a super walfart and an OEM walfart. goes to show you how much white trash we have in central PA!
