Trade in the camaro or no?

Hi all. Just a few questions here.I was thinking about trading in my Camaro for a 97 740i, but once I got to researching the car it seems to be plauged with some rather serious problems from what I've read. Did they have the major stuff worked out by 97,and how reliable are the 7 series cars? Thanks!

First look at www.E38.org (http://www.E38.org) then if you think you would be willing to spend $300-$1000+ a year on maint. then buy it. Otherwise you will be p.o. and unhappy. Drive one first, take it on the freeway (over 60) and finish with some twisties. Don't compare it with a Camaro it is 1k lbs heavier. I am sure it will ride much better and be less twitchy than the camaro. Personally I went from a 87 5.0 mustang to the 00 740i and on occasion I drive the 740i like the mustang, it is much more predictable in the way it drives and when at high speed it is really smooth.
