D15B- 1.5L SOHC 6th gen Civic hatches and LX
D15Z- 1.5L SOHC VTEC-E 6th gen Civic HX

I've just got qwalms with these two. In the US, there wasn't a 1.5 liter in the 6th gens. And The D15B7 is the 16 valve 5th Gen Dx engine, And the D15B8 is the 8 valve 5th gen Cx engine.

slight adjustment to the b20

B20b = 1997-1998 CRV (giraffe manifold lol)
B20z = 1999-2000 CRV (shorter manifold, has a chamber)

some more:

a20a1- usdm accord carb 86-89
a20a2 - foreign accord carb 86-89
a20a3 - usdm efi accord 86-89
a20a4 - a rare engine, i've never seen it, supposedly it's the foreign version of the a20a3. The a20a2 and 4 have less emmission condrol devices
b20 - JDM 3rd gen accord DOHC

RSX base does not give the same output as the Civic Si, maybe the Si is detuned? Or maybe they're just not identical?

The B20 stuff is still wrong. The B20Z was never available in Japan for a start. And here's a handy link : Honda Engine Specs (http://www.public.iastate.edu/~myeung/hondaspec.html), maybe put it in the FAQ?

So it Uses Izuzu engines with Izuzu engine codes. ;)

Just one small corection, the B16a4 you have listed is actualy only stamped with B16a just like the pre 92 B16a with only 160hp.
However it is most often refered to, (even by Honda) as being a B16a2, or 2nd generation B16a. :)

The 1st gen legend came with a 2.7L and the 2nd gen 91-95 came with a 3.2L what were those engine codes?
If you could put the HP and Torque ratings for all those motors that would be nice too.

JDM B and H didn't have numeric designator,ie B16A2,just B16A except the first CRX or teg I forget which one,but the EDM ones did B16A2,92-95 VTi and you left out the B18C4 from the 96-00 civic VTi 1.8 and aerodecks.

I have a question about the A20 in the 87-89 Accord. Some punk I know keeps talking smack about his Accord being able to spank my B12 Sentra. I know it's a carb motor, but what is the bhp of it. He keeps saying it has 120bhp, which I know is total BS.

jcrx
03-07-2003, 06:28 PM
It's rated at 122bhp,so he is right about that,bt whether or not it can take your car is for you to decide,since that 122hp is hauling around about 2500lbs,I doubt it.I had a 89 Accord hatch and it was pretty fast though.

Nsane18
03-08-2003, 04:16 PM
122bhp, no shit??? I really didn't think that much for a carb motor. As for taking me, my car weighed about 2000lbs and about 100bhp(not stock). I never really thought of it having that much power, maybe torque. Oh well, he has an auto and a 4 door. Nice comfy seats though:)

*correction, its the intake manifold and the runners (i dunno, this is what i remember him telling me)*
