While Driving all electic shuts off, then back on real fast.

I am driving and all the suddon all my electric goes off for a split second then kicks back on. I only notice this at night when all my lights are on. It also sometimes has no "juice" when i turn the key. No lights come on or anything. I turn the key back and try again and then it will work. That leads me to assume that it is the ignition switch, but why would that cause my whole electrical system to shut off for a split second while driving? Thanks for the help

I would first check the battery and all the connections...(have the battery tested)
When posting a question, please tell us the year,make and model of your vehicle along with the engine size...this will help in getting some more specific answers.
Depending on what year your truck is, there were some problems with ignition switches causing all kinds of problems.

My Truck is the 2000 s10 ls. It has the wimpy 4 cylinder in it.

Turned out the positive battery cable has a fusible link that had become brittle and replacing the cable cured the problem.

Ignition switch bad about going out will make any thing electrical shut down for a moment same problem for my 97 s10 blazer replaced the switch no problems sense

It's also a possibility that it's the battery connectors aren't tightened correctly. I had the same problem, but it never happened again when I tightened the battery connectors. And make sure it's real tight. You may think it's securely connected, but you have to really tighten it to ensure that it will work. Good luck.
