Where is the keyless entry control located?

I have a 1998 Z71 and the keyless entry quit working. Does anyone know what the control looks like and where it is located? I thought I would look for one in a salvage yard.

I would replace the batteries in my remote first. That might do it and would be cheaper than a dealer visit. If that dont work, I would buy a Haynes or similar manual from Advance or Auto Zone or other store and check that out. I have one and they are very helpful. They show you things you can check yourself and a lot of the times the stuff aint that hard to fix! Hope this helps. mrsparky637

but I have already tried changing the batteries and looked at a repair book at autozone. I just am not sure what the receiver looks like? I believe its under the dash but am not sure?

No problem, I hope you get straightened out. If I have something, it better work. That is aggravating!
