03 Yukon XL brake problems

My 03 Yukon XL loses it's brakes while under braking on a washboard or rough road. The dealer says that other owners have had the same complaint but GM has no fix. Any info out there?

Does it lose its brakes or are you experiencing the ABS activating.
If you try to stop on a washboard road, the tires will intermittantly lose contact with the road surface and stop turning. the ABS module will see the wheel speed slow and activate the ABS

Thanks for the reply. The problem I am having is not an ABS type of pedal feel or brake feel. There is a total loss of brakes and a hard pedal feel as oposed to the pulsating ABS feel. Having lived in Vermont I know what ABS feels like. It seems like it has more to do with the rear axle bouncing on rough surfaces under hard braking.

My brother asked me to investigate recall's/TSB and other brake issues for huis 2003 Yukon XL. He is experiencing soft pedal, excess pedal travel, and sometime high brake pedal pressure/hard pedal.

He has had the SUV into his local Atlanta dealership mutiple times, but they give him a lot of lip service and send him on his way...always without really fixing the problem.

He is considering turning it back in on the lemon law...but asked me to find web info first... Alldata.com has nothing really, just a couple of semi-related TSB's...

Any suggestions, thoughts, recommendations?
