Anyway, my advice would be to just search under google, or various RX-7 enthusiast sites. They aren't difficult to find.

steel, whats up with your sig? rx-7s do get around 18-19 mpg, are very reliable, and aren't that difficult to tune... now emissions I wouldn't know about cuz we have none in Kansas  just curious as to how you came to those conclusions
Steel
12-11-2003, 06:20 PM
... i never noticed.. that tilde is supposed to be a plus.. anyhoo. What you said are correct... for an N/A. Soon as you slap a turbo on there, it's a whole new can of worms. Especially a modded turbo, you can expect 8-14 mpg, horrid emissions, engines popping everywhere, and tunings a bitch (and is what usually causes the engines to pop in the first place)

here's lookin' at you, kid.
I haven't had any steering problems whatsoever at all, and it IS on the left side. (A-spec) stands for America, from what I've been told.
Unlike the Supra, I've had to launch it in 2nd gear at about 4,500 revs.. whats your process for drag racing, Jim?

Thats a '99 Spec stock J-Spec Front Bumper Assembly and a RE Amemiya RX-7 93-Up Sleek Light Conversion.
Take more pics and show me them... I was asking about the steering wheel because the '96's are "special" Take a pic of that and I will tell you if you really have a '96...

I have to see an interior shot befor I say if it is what you say it is. I honestly think you are full of it.
I saved the pic of "your" car and I am posting it on another RX-7 forum. Lets see who it really belongs to.
BTW - I do not drag race I mearly have my 1/4 mile time in my sig because its the only way most people realize that it a fast car.
I built it for Road course and Autocross so the suspension is super tight and the car will not launch. Which is not important to me. I would rather outrun exotics on road courses than beat them in a straight line.
You launch in second gear at 4500 RPM's huh? Interesting technique.

I do find it funny that this guy said " just because i have good taste in cars..." yet he drives a civic with clear taillights...

Point taken. And anybody who drives a Civic has no taste in cars IMHO.
I'm out of ideas to prove it's a 1996 Rex(as if I had one), but if I come across it on another website can I strangle him?

You claim you have a 1996 Mazdaspeed RX-7 A-spec..
So, what is the VIN number???? you can call Mazda Direct and they will tell you what you have by telling them the VIN #...
I used this method to check pedagree on during my CYM hunt.
Moreover, if you have a 1996 Mazdaspeed RX-7 A-spec, your dealer will have no clue what it is, because you will not have a 17 digit VIN, because if you indeed have a 1996 Mazdaspeed RX-7 it will be either: japan, Australia, NewZealand, or western european spec... NOT US spec..

Right off I am being told this FD looks a lot like Erik Cheatham's car. - His car is not a Mazdaspeed and I really doubt he is selling it and definatly not for 25K.
There is a vid somewhere on NP. If I find it I'll post it.

anyway...math for the moterhead.
cost of DWI 6 months ago, including extraneous charges (court charges, liscence crap, etc.)---------------------$2,550
average cost to insure the RX -7 per month, after DWI charge (believe me, i checked Gieco)--------------------$490
amount at a loss i might have to sell it at (to be decided)
------------------ over $3500
realizing that ADHD and impulsive buying are good friends: priceless
friend in MN wants to sell me modded pro5 for dirt cheap! check it out? ROAD TRIP!
me realizing MN is far, far, away. :disappoin
