Im so F***in' sorry! That must have been a mistake or something. My question was supposed to be like this:
I have a 97 Talon ESI and I want it to go really fast. I was thinking of drag racing with it but I have one problem, its an automatic!!!! I know that I could change the transmission in to a manual but is another way of getting around this?

That's a hard one. You have two things working against you. 1. you have a 100hp dodge neon engine and 2. you have a slush box. It's possible, but you should seriously consider purchasing a turbo kit. Check out Hahn racing, they make turbo kits for the 420c.

One main suggestion I have that will let you still have your automatic (without buying a whole new car or switching the tranny) is to buy a real good shift kit. A friend of mine has one that has a 4000 stall on it, with this you will still be able to "shift" from that 1st to 2nd to 3rd to drive (think that is what it is, i am not sure) and it will also stay in neutral until it hits 4000rpm. So it is like shifting without a clutch, but safetly. It sped up his 1/4 mile HUGE! As well, you car is not a slush bucket! I like it and it has huge potential. The only problem with throwing a turbo on (I looked at putting one on my 94 talon), you have to put in all new hoses, get a new ECU or reprogram your existing one, all that fun stuff. I actually just saw a FWD Talon Esi with 611hp. That is huge! and that is without a turbo. So, take that into consideration and hope it helps.
