Well...I've been at work on this for a while. I'm still waiting to get putty and build the body kit. It's supposed to be the S2K From 2 Fast 2 Furious. So far I have the Interior done, the underside and Rims. For the Rims I used XS Tuning Sports and used the S2K rubber, The rims were the closest i could match.
http://www.xstuning.com/1710005.jpg
The interior was built from reference pics from many sources. Flocked the seats, center console, shifter boot and door inserts. I have the gauges and stuff printed up and waiting. Picture I have now is old and outdated. I'll get newer pics later. Sorry for fuziness in pics.

This is the underside. I wasn't sure on colors, so i just thought differently. Pink, Flat and gloss Black and siver.

Cool idea. Are you planning on doing all 4 of the cars that raced in that
first racing scene? I wish Chris would make a Veilside s2k body kit, I
actually liked the black one in the First fast and the furious :sly:

that's gonna be a tricky one. The decals were amazing, I especially like the lil screen with the anime girl growling

Well...I really wish I could. But seeing as each car costs me about 100$ just to build...it would be easier if I had a sponsor of some kind. The only one I'd like to do is the Lancer, but all 4 do sounds cool... As for the decals...I'm thinking of getting some thin brushes and hand painting them on. I have already hand drawn the car and had a good idea of what im doing..so wish me luck. Pics coming soon.

That looks good dude. Seeing how your last 2F2F car turned out, I'm sure this is going to be awesome. Maybe you should just make every single car that you can that was in 2F2F. The Ram's, the Supra, BMW, Corvette, Mustang (that gets the hell ran over), the Yenko Camaro, etc. lol

Um. I have to say one thing. Your rims, I'm not sure if those are what you're using, but they're too small.

I said already that the rims were the closest I could match. If anyone can find something closer...i'd be happy to look into it. Also, I'm looking for a Veilside Wing for this car, preferably the one from the RX-7. If anyone can hook me up for trade, it'd help alot. Thanks.

cool project man, are you gonna do pink flocking on the interior to? I no the one in the movie had that troll hair kinda fur all over the place (but ugly to me but not my car) what color of pink is that? is it brighter in real life? the only thing i can find is a very pale pink by tamiya and i was looking for real bright pink to do a supra with, but had no luck and did it purple

Oh, ok I didn't realize. Well you could put pegasus sleeves on them to make them bigger.

The pink I used was Model Master Hot Magenta #2955. I did flock the interior, its just really hard to show on pics. And the tires are 3/4" which translates to about 18" rims. They're big enough to suit the job.

mstngcobrasvt98
12-07-2003, 03:29 PM
I couldnt wait to see what it was gonna look like..and i used up the rest of a can to do it. The can was old and the colors didnt match. I got a new one so, im ognna strip the body and redo it after I add the bodykit

86_SR5
12-07-2003, 04:17 PM
that's cool. BTW, about how much did it cost you to build your skyline??

mstngcobrasvt98
12-07-2003, 06:46 PM
Too much! LOL. I think it cost me about 120-140$US and it was worth every penny.

12-07-2003, 07:19 PM
Daamn. I wouldn't think that much, well I guess with time and labor. I'm asking because suddenly, I want that car, I've pre-ordered the 1:18th die cast that this place has of it, and I wan to build it, and a freind just gave me a Vspec II R34 tamiya kit. I figured if I stuffed the chrome 6spoke wheels in it half way into some Pegasus sleeves, I'll have some HRE look-a-like's, just would need the C-West kit, GT-Wing, silver paint, blue paint, lot's of masking tape and alot of patience. Guess I'll just have to settle for my 1:18 die-cast.

mstngcobrasvt98
12-07-2003, 07:24 PM
Actually, it is pretty easy as long as you dont go into too much detail. The C-west SAS kit is only about 25$ and a SAS GT-Wing set isnt too expensive and you can do 4 cars with it. When you get the R-34, you should post pics of it and then I can compare them

86_SR5
12-07-2003, 07:28 PM
No problem. It'll be a while, since the 1:18 wont be out till 4/1/04, but as soon as I get it, I'll have every pic of it taken that I can. Hell, I'll take the body off to photograph the inside.

Well...it's time to start this project up again. Sorry for no pics yet. I think the only thing ive done is the Tach and the rear part of the exhaust. Yes posts are useless without pics...but you'll have to wait. I'll get some pics taken tomorrow and post them after school. wont be here this weekend though.

01-22-2004, 08:00 PM
well...i still have to do the bodykit..and the roof cover. Hopefully that one wont be so bad. I'm trying something else besides tamiya at the moment, the orange epoxy putty. I'll update as things happen. OH, and exhaust has been sprayed chrome and metal tips stripped, buffed and polished.

Thanks, XS Tuning rims work really well

No, the SAS wing is based off of the c-west wing i think. I used it on my skyline and the uprights are totally different.

Well, Its been a long time and I wish I could post some new pics, but nothing has happened to it. I just finally got some putty, but i'm not sure if its enough for the job (1 box). Also have the wing done-very difficult. I'm spraying a primer coat then i'll post pics of things I have done.

heres some terrible pics of it the bonnet cover. Its pretty much finished. I'm still trying to figure out how to do the airbrushing and the rest of the bodykit. I need to make a supply run for sheet plastic and stuff though. Any help on the bodykit would really be helpful. This is my first time building things from scratch plastic.
